FIE testing & observation planner ยท saves to your browser
๐ Your data stays on this device โ FERPA-conscious by design. Everything you enter โ student initials, schedules, notes โ is saved only in this browser and never leaves your computer or reaches any server. Because of that, clearing your browser data or switching devices will erase it. Use โฌ Export data to back up your work, and โฌ Import data to restore it or move it to another machine. Use initials or first name + last initial rather than full names, and follow your district's policy for anything you export or save.
๐ฑ๐ป Working across two devices (district + personal)? There's no server syncing behind the scenes โ that's the point โ but you can move your work back and forth reliably: 1. Name each device the first time you export ("District laptop," "Home computer") so your files are easy to tell apart. 2. Pick one folder that both devices can reach โ your district OneDrive or Google Drive folder works well. Always Export into that same folder when you finish working. 3. On the other device, Import the newest file from that folder. You'll see when each copy was last saved side by side, then choose Merge to combine both, or Replace to overwrite. 4. Habit that prevents headaches: Import when you sit down, Export when you get up.
Check your district's policy before putting any student data in Google Drive or OneDrive โ some districts allow district-managed accounts only.
The campuses and students you see now are made-up samples so you can look around before entering anything real. Delete them whenever you're ready โ the ๐ next to each campus, student, or block removes it.
